SIDE HILL SCREENS

Side Hill screens can serve as the main dewatering feature for small operations or pre-thicken a slurry for equipment further downstream.  The addition of a side hill screen increases the efficiency of machines sensitive to diluted slurries, often allowing plants to save money by selecting smaller screw presses.  Developed in the mining industry, Elgin’s rugged screen design withstands any debris thrown its way.  Whether processing sewage, white water, food waste or minerals, Elgin’s Side Hill Screen is valuable addition to your dewatering system.

ASSEMBLY FEATURES

Elgin’s Side Hill Screen requires no power or special inputs on site to operate.  This minimizes capital and operating costs.  The cutting action of the wedge wire screen efficiently captures water in a smaller footprint than most screens. Removable screen panels allow for simple replacement in high wear applications. The influent and effluent connections sizes and positions can be customized to fit any application.  This assembly is available in stainless steel construction (304 or 316).   Optional features include:  hinged top enclosure, extended discharge lip, spray bars, and non-standard inlet/outlet fittings.
